With the evolution of GiftAider, we’re excited to help you migrate from GiftAider Self-Hosted to GiftAider Cloud. Our cloud-based platform enhances accessibility, security, and efficiency, making Gift Aid submissions easier than ever.

If you’re currently using GiftAider Self-Hosted, this guide will walk you through the migration process, what to expect, and how to ensure a smooth transition.

How to Migrate from GiftAider Self-Hosted to GiftAider Cloud

Step 1: Run the Migration Tool

To transfer your data, you’ll need to use our GiftAider Cloud Migration Tool, which will:

? Encrypt and securely upload your data.
✅ Prepare your records for import into the online system.
⛔ Disable GiftAider Self-Hosted once the process is complete.

? Download the Migration Tool (Ask your SMXi Software contact for the Download Link)

Note: The migration process can take up to five business day, so we recommend running it when you’re between submissions, please let us know when you would like to begin the process.


Step 2: Verification & Import

Once your data is uploaded, our team will:
✔️ Verify data integrity.
✔️ Securely import your records into GiftAider Cloud.
✔️ Notify you when the process is complete.


Step 3: Access GiftAider Cloud

Once migration is complete, you can log in to GiftAider Cloud and start using the cloud-based system immediately.

If you experience any issues, our support team is available to assist.


What If There’s an Issue with the Migration?

If the migration tool encounters any issues, we will:
? Provide you with a login to our secure transfer portal.
? Arrange for your storepath to be collected manually.
Note: This process may take up to five business days to complete.
