Using validation and Auto Fix
GiftAider highlights records that may not pass Gift Aid checks. Some common formatting issues can be fixed automatically, while others need review.
How to review issues
- Open the unclaimed validation screen.
- Search or filter the records.
- Read the validation message.
- Open the affected donor or donation record.
- Use Auto Fix only when the suggested change is clearly correct.
- Refresh the list and check the issue is resolved.
When not to use Auto Fix
Do not use Auto Fix where the correct value is unclear, where the donor record needs a human decision, or where declaration evidence needs checking.
