Preparing your data before moving to GiftAider

A clean export makes onboarding quicker and reduces the number of records that need manual review. Before moving to GiftAider, gather the records your team relies on for Gift Aid and donor management.

• Donor names and addresses.
• Postcodes and country fields.
• Donation dates and amounts.
• Declaration status and declaration date.
• Claim history or claim status.
• Original source IDs.
• Notes and custom fields.

Do not tidy data by deleting fields before review. It is often safer to keep the original export and agree what should be imported, ignored or mapped to an Amplify custom attribute.
